The Role: Senior Environmental Scientist

About the role: (responsibilities)

You will work in the field of environmental site assessments, brownfields, site investigations and remediation activities. Key role aspects include but not limited to

• Perform preliminary site assessments, brownfields assessments, site inspections, and/or site investigations on sites with potentially hazardous substances.
• Full scale site investigations to include air, water and soil sampling
• Working on projects of varying size and complexity.
• Multi-media sampling
• Field audits and inspections
• Organize and review data
• Preparation of technical reports
• Field investigations

This is a hybrid role with regular travel to sites, combined with option to work from home or in the office.

About you: (requirements)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional environmental science experience.  You will also have / be:

• Experience in the environmental services industry with demonstrated experience conducting site investigations, remedial investigations, and practical field experience performing multi-media sampling including groundwater, soil and soil gas. 
• Experience with remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, ecological restoration, and/or water resources a plus
• Analytical skills related to qualitative and quantitative data
• Customer communication skills are critical, its important that you can communicate effectively with customer
• Strong technical and non-technical writing
• Information and data analysis
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills
• Ambitious and highly motivated
• Work well in a team environment
• Proficient with MS Office applications is required
